Vice President of Operations
Vice President of Operations Christopher Sage has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of construction. As the manager of day-to-day operations at Maverick Construction, he has successfully completed projects ranging from small, short-term projects to large multi-year projects of more than $25M. Chris has a near perfect track record in completing projects on time and under budget.
The most notable of the aforementioned projects was the Colburn Street Sub Station electrical distribution upgrade. Chris oversaw the installation of more than 30 miles of new underground 700 flat strap cable and more than 300 new splices within an existing 100-year-old duct bank system. The project required the scheduling of crews, electrical cutovers, and material delivery while working within a tight time frame and in an existing 300-year-old residential and commercial area. Per usual, the project was completed on time and without a single fault.
Vice President of Construction and Network Builds
Vice President of Construction and Network Builds Ralph Canina has more than 25 years of experience building communications networks. Before joining Maverick Construction, he managed the design build of a 405-node distributed antenna system (DAS) for NextG Networks. The $45 million project, completed ahead of schedule and within budget, included 160 miles of fiber, 40 miles of which were installed underground in both new and existing Verizon conduits.
As vice president and general manager for RCN, Ralph was responsible for an $85M to $100M annual communications network engineering and construction budget. In that role he managed the design build of 2,700 miles of hybrid fiber coax networks for 19 cities and towns in the Boston area (Ralph also managed a similar project in Queens, NY). Prior to his time with RCN, he did similar work for Metropolitan Fiber Systems, managing the construction of a fiber backbone through 14 suburban Boston communities.
Ralph has decades of experience working closely with utility companies, including NSTAR, National Grid and Verizon in constructing dozens of communications networks.
